How can I help you?

As of 2026, I am no longer representing individual clients, and have moved my practice to entirely mediation and related work. I mediate all areas of law, except family law, and work with parties that are represented by counsel and also who are representing themselves.

Most of what I do breaks down into the following areas:

Employment Law

I provide workplace mediation and consensus building workshops for all types of companies and businesses, and also mediate disputes where someone has been disciplined or let go from a job. I have extensive experience dealing with employment-related matters, including where they intersect with human rights issues.

I also conduct workplace investigations where there has been a complaint, on request.

Estate Mediation

I mediate all sorts of disputes between beneficiaries of an estate, including before or after any court documents have been filed. Sometimes the best way to preserve relationships and ensure a departed loved one's estate isn't spent on fighting in court is to get into mediation at an early stage - I can help with that.

Civil Litigation

Civil litigation is a catch-all term that refers to any dispute that two or more parties have, where they're seeking either money, or for the other party to do or stop doing something. Civil Litigation covers a wide range of topics, and sadly, can sometimes be anything but civil for the parties in the dispute.

Some of the types of civil litigation I mediate are:

Contract disputes
Employment disputes
Real estate transactions gone wrong
Defamation
Business disputes
Professional liability
Commercial and residential tenancy disputes

I mediate matters both when there are court proceedings underway and when there aren't, and am happy to work with parties who have lawyers and who don't. f you aren't sure if I can help, just ask! If I am not the right person to help you, I probably know someone who is.

Human Rights Mediation

I am on the roster of mediators at the BC Human Rights Tribunal, and provide mediation services through the Tribunal's ordinary process.

For parties with a complaint at the BC Human Rights Tribunal, I provide private mediation services for a reduced rate flat fee outside the ordinary Tribunal process. This can allow parties to have disputes mediated without having to wait years for the Tribunal to provide a hearing date or appoint a mediator.
